ALPI Spanish School’s TESOL Certificate Program
Has served the largest Dominican University in the country (PUCMM), as well as JK Watson interns and high school Gap Year participants. In our program, participants are taught the basics of TESOL, lesson-plan development and execution (in English), and work with our English faculty inside the EFL classroom. ALPI Spanish School currently has roughly 1,500 attending Dominican students of English. Unique programs may be tailor made for a participant with his/her individual preferences. For instance; combining Spanish language with TESOL, or Spanish for Medical Professionals, both of which are becoming increasingly popular here at ALPI.
ALPI’s TESOL Certificate Program was designed by Professor Evan Ross Kanciper M.A. who has over two decades of ESL teaching experience on the university level. Mr. Kanciper holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, and has designed and piloted EFL programs for universities and private organizations in the United States and Latin America. All ALPI programs include weekly guided excursions in and around Santiago, social activities with faculty and students, and airport transportation is available 24/7. A certificate, transcripts and letter of recommendation will be available upon request and mailed directly to your host university’s department. Applicants to university graduate level programs in TESOL or Linguistics will find that today’s applications ask specifically for teach-abroad and work-abroad experiences.
